Billtrust Recognized by NJBIZ for its Environmental Innovation

PRINCETON, NJ, JUNE 3, 2009 – Billtrust, the leading provider of outsourced billing services has been recognized by NJBIZ in the Environmental Innovation category of the NJBIZ Green Leadership Awards program. The Green Leadership Awards recognize and celebrate New Jersey’s businesses for their environmental achievements and initiatives. Billtrust’s services help companies manage their billing process more efficiently through a suite of advanced paper and electronic bill delivery products. Through its e-Adoption program, Billtrust works with their customers to increase the percentage of bills being sent electronically. The benefits of electronic bill delivery are significant for both businesses and the environment. With Billtrust, a company saves over 75% for each bill sent electronically versus being sent by U.S. Mail. Further, by going paperless companies have a positive impact on the environment by reducing the amount of paper, envelopes, stamps and fuel typically used in the bill delivery process. Billtrust increased the percent of bills being processed electronically by 110% in 2008 and is helping many leading companies go paperless. Billtrust serves mid to large sized organizations in both the B2B and B2C markets who are struggling with managing the costs (material, processing, postage, labor) and hassles (IT, equipment, management) related to delivering bills. Billtrust’s core advantage is its proprietary “Complete Billing” solution that encompasses many aspects of a company’s billing process and helps businesses to reduce costs, get paid faster, and go green. Billtrust’s CEO Flint Lane credits the company’s state-of-the-art technology, dedicated employees, and its commitment to the environment as being the catalyst for their “Green” market position. Lane said, “Billtrust believes that to be truly Green, you can’t just talk the talk, you have to walk the walk. Not only are we working with our customers to reduce the amount of paper in the billing process, we have also instituted ways for our own company to lower our carbon footprint. Our Green team has implemented company-wide initiatives to reduce paper use, increase recycling, promote energy conservation and help our clients go green.” Not surprisingly, 100% of Billtrust’s own billing is done electronically. In 2008, Billtrust was recognized with other awards based on their strong growth and positive impact they are having on the environment:
