Inaugural Billtrust User Summit Creates Innovative Forum For Billing Industry Best Practices

Corporate Leaders Meet in Philadelphia to Exchange Information and Ideas; Awards Ceremony Recognizes 2013 Billing Rockstar of the Year Tina Schneider, February 2014 Billing Rockstar Melissa Seader

HAMILTON, NJ – (March 11, 2014) –  Billtrust, the leading outsourced billing services provider, today announced the successful completion of its 2014 Billtrust User Summit, the first conference to address the changing needs of corporate billing in both the business-to-business and business-to-consumer segments. The conference exceeded projections for both the number and prominence of attendees, demonstrating the high priority companies are placing on the billing process as electronic billing becomes increasingly mission-critical.

Highlighting the conclusion of the Billtrust User Summit was the recognition of two industry professionals as Billtrust Billing Rockstars. The awards, acknowledging billing professionals who have led a transformation of the billing process within their organizations, were awarded to:

  • Melissa Seader, Senior Manager AP and AR, IDEXX Laboratories, as February 2014 Billing Rockstar. Among Melissa’s achievements in reducing billing costs for IDEXX is a 57% payment participation rate among the nearly 3,000 customers using their online billing portal, Invoice Gateway.
  • Tina Schneider, Manager, Credit & Accounts Receivable, Medela, Inc., as 2013 Billing Rockstar of the Year. Tina led her company’s customers to embrace a range of payment portals and grow electronic adoption to 53% in less than two years.

The 2014 Billtrust User Summit was sponsored by Sungard GetPaid, Open Scan, Credit Research Foundation and Epicor. The three-day event was held February 23-25 at The Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia.
