The Challenge
Global food distributor Chiquita Brands International, Inc. ships a variety of fresh foods globally to more than 70 countries, generating an annual revenue of about $3 billion. With the amount of daily activity, they recognized that outsourcing their invoice delivery process would help them save money and make their in-house accounts receivable (AR) team more productive. Chiquita originally selected a vendor to help with this project, but ultimately found that they didn’t deliver on expectations. Many customers didn’t receive their bills on time — if at all — and Chiquita knew they needed a tighter vendor partnership to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
The Solution
