Mr. Lane is the CEO and Founder of Billtrust. He has set the strategic direction of the company since its founding in 2001. Under his leadership, the company has enjoyed significant growth providing print and electronic outsourced billing services to companies throughout North America.
Billtrust has earned numerous awards from business organizations including the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ and Inc. 500. In May of 2011 Mr. Lane was named as one of the 25 Most Influential Financial Operations Professionals by the Institute of Financial Operations (IFO). In June of 2011 he was recognized as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year®.
Prior to founding Billtrust, Mr. Lane was founder, President and Chairman of Paytrust, the leading electronic bill presentation and payment (EBPP) company with over 100,000 customers nationwide. He also held executive positions at Platinum Technology, Logic Works and BrownStone Solutions.
Mr. Lane currently serves on the board of the New Jersey Technology Council. He is also a board member and a volunteer big brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County and assists his local PTA with web projects. Mr. Lane received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Ed leads the Finance and Administration functions for Billtrust. Ed's experiences include over 30 years of working as a public and private company CFO. Prior to Billtrust, Ed was the CEO of JAGTAG a mobile technology company that was sold to Augme Technologies. Prior to that Ed was the CFO of Flarion Technologies which was sold to Qualcomm. Prior to Flarion, Ed was the cofounder and CFO of ITXC Corp. a public company that was sold to Tata Communications. Prior to ITXC, Ed was the CFO of Dialogic Corporation a public company that was sold to Intel. Ed also has extensive experience in the International technology markets with a specific emphasis on Brazil.
Ed's accomplishments include guiding private companies through private and public equity offerings, mergers and acquisitions and the development of financial strategies for growth.
He is a certified public accountant and his experience includes working for Deloitte. In 2002, the New Jersey Technology Council named him “CFO of the Year”. Ed received his B.S. in Accounting from Lehigh University.
James Eichmann oversees all development activities for Billtrust. Mr. Eichmann has over 20 years experience in building highly scalable and robust systems. He joined the company in October 2002. Prior to joining Billtrust, Mr. Eichmann was the Executive Vice President of Product Development for Paytrust, Inc. where he was responsible for all product development initiatives. Prior to Paytrust, Mr. Eichmann worked as a Development Manager for Logic Works, as a Senior Consultant at Atlantic Information Management and as Senior Product Analyst for the U.S. Army. Mr. Eichmann received a Bachelor of Science in Business and Finance from Mount Saint Mary's College.
As Billtrust Chief Revenue Officer Kirk leads the Sales, Business Development and Marketing teams. He is a veteran executive of financial and high tech firms. Prior to Billtrust, Kirk served as EVP of Global Sales and Marketing of ASG a $400 million dollar software company based in Naples FL. He joined ASG when they acquired RiverGlass where he was the CEO in October of 2011. RiverGlass provided advanced data mining to government agencies and Fortune 1000 Companies.
Kirk brings relevant industry experience to Billtrust with executive positions he held at CheckFree Corporation, BlueGill Technologies, Korn/Ferry International, and Intuit. He is a graduate of Purdue University and holds a BS in Finance.
Tom Iler leads the development, IT and QA at Billtrust. He has over 15 year’s experience as a C-Level Executive, leading innovative technology organizations in the finance, ad tech, digital media, and government space. Prior to Billtrust,Iler served as CTO of Vibrant Media, a digital advertising company located in New York, where he led technology, product management and data science. Previously, he served as executive vice president and chief information officer at Ascend One, where he led corporate technology and was responsible for software engineering, business analytics, technology operations, and project management. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and CIO at AOL Advertising/Platform-A, one of the industry’s largest digital advertising platforms. Iler also served as CIO of Advertising.com, where he led the company’s technology team.
Iler received his B.A. in economics from Loyola College and his M.B.A. from the University of Baltimore.
Alex Sauickie has overall management responsibility for Billtrust’s Client Operations including Customer Support, Implementations, Project Management, and Business Optimization. He is a veteran executive in start-up and high growth enterprise software. Prior to joining Billtrust, Alex was head of operations for Unified Social, an award winning social media platform company, Managing Director of Operations & Services for Albridge Solutions where he assisted in its successful acquisition to a division of PNC Bank, and Director of Operations & Services at The Island ECN, which was successfully acquired by Instinet Corporation. Alex also held various operations and services positions at online bill payment and presentment company Paytrust as well as Merrill Lynch where he was Vice President of Contact Center Technology and a founding manager responsible for the creation of the Merrill Lynch Financial Advisory Center. Alex has held NASD/FINRA Series 7, 24, 65, 63, and 55 licenses and has been recognized for his leadership in the industry as well as his humanitarian work. He has spoken at industry conferences and has been featured in industry trade publications. Alex also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for The Kimball Medical Center Foundation, founded the non-profit organization Chloe’s Causes, and received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Trenton State College, now The College of New Jersey.
Clint Waite is the Group President of Billtrust’s Open Scan business unit. Clint’s 20 years of experience in providing business service outsourcing gives Billtrust clients the benefit of his vast experience in billing, customer contact centers, fulfillment, and data management. In 2001 Clint founded Best Practice Systems which specialized in electronic bill presentment and payment in the B2C marketplace. Best Practice Systems experienced great success and was listed as one of the fastest growing companies in the Inc 5000 from 2009 through 2012. Billtrust purchased Best Practice Systems in 2012. With the acquisition of Best Practice Systems, Billtrust has now rounded out its offering of B2C products and services.
Jeanne is responsible for the Human Resources function at Billtrust including workforce planning, employee development, total rewards and employee relations. She has over twenty years of experience at high-technology and start-up firms with an expertise in compensation and benefits plan design. Prior to joining Billtrust Jeanne held various leadership positions at Lumeta Corporation, Flarion Technologies, ITXC Corporation and Tachion Networks. Jeanne began her career at Dialogic Corporation where she received her CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) designation while managing the total rewards strategy prior to their sales to Intel. She is a graduate of Montclair State University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
Marilyne heads up the integration of Mergers and Acquisitions at Billtrust. Prior to Billtrust she spent 4 years at Tyco Fire Protection Products in Operational Excellence, IT and most recently as the Director of M&A Operations. At Tyco, Marilyne led the integration of a $130 million acquisition, managed the M&A pipeline and established the framework for M&A integration globally. Prior to Tyco, she worked at Immunicon for 5 years (now a Veridex Company) where she held key positions in Quality Assurance, Process Improvement, Operations and Project Management. After her Six Sigma Black Belt training from the American Society for Quality (ASQ), Marilyne executed projects that resulted in $1 million cost savings at Immunicon.
Marilyne is a Fulbright Scholar and obtained her PhD in Biosystems Engineering at Oklahoma State University. She also holds a Masters of Sciences in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from the University of Abidjan in the Ivory Coast (West Africa). She is a senior member of the American Society for Quality and the Fulbright Organization and speaks French with native fluency.
Mr. Rose is responsible for the branding, lead generation and product marketing activity at Billtrust. He has held senior level marketing positions with Fortune 100 companies including Coke, Mattel and Warner Lambert, along with leading the corporate communications at startup companies PointRoll and SevenEcho. During his tenure at PointRoll, revenue grew 3-fold leading to its sale to Gannett Inc. in June 2005. Through the course of Mitch's professional career he has created breakthrough marketing campaigns, battled off major competitive threats, and led teams in the development of industry leading new products. Mitch holds an MBA from Columbia University in Marketing as well as a BS in Economics from Cornell University.
As VP of Product Strategy, Nicole represents Billtrust’s product direction and user experience in the order to cash ecosystem. Her main objective is to continue the development of state-of-the-art products and services that are designed to simplify the order to cash process. She has over 15 years of experience working with Corporations and Banks to provide a deep understanding of the varying expectations of the market and associated end users when interacting with software systems from locally hosted to cloud based. Nicole possesses a driven desire to enforce efficiency in every stage of the software inception to support cycle. She has successfully transitioned teams from reactive delivery models to proactive and reliable delivery models that drive success. Prior to joining Billtrust, Nicole led product direction and delivery for Bottomline Technologies in their Global Banking business. Past experience also includes leadership roles at State Street Bank, EMC, and Fidelity Investments. She is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Arts in Management Engineering.
Paige is responsible for building and maintaining partner, alliance and OEM relationships at Billtrust. She has over 25 years of experience in information technology sales and partner management. Most recently she was VP, Partners and Alliances, for CA Technologies with responsibility for building the partner business in North America. Prior to joining CA, Paige was with BMC Software for 15 years where she held numerous executive and management positions in sales, marketing, business development, and channels. At BMC, she lead a team that created BMC’s Partner Network which brought together the partner programs of Remedy, Marimba, Magic, Control Solutions, and Patrol under one unified program. Paige began her career with the IBM Corporation where she worked for over 13 years in sales and sales management.
Paige has received industry recognition for her leadership including being named one of the Top 75 Executives in VarBusiness 2004 & 2005 and one of CRN’s 100 Most Powerful Women of the Channel in 2010, 2011, and 2012. Paige received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Utah and her Masters of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
For the past ten years Paul has led sales teams at SunGard within the Corporate Liquidity Division. He is a seasoned sales leader with a “player/coach” management philosophy and a long history of delivering results and growing businesses. Prior to SunGard, Paul has held various sales positions at two startup companies: BlueGill Technologies which was sold to CheckFree Corporation and Health Payment Review which had a successful IPO and was eventually sold to HBO and Company. He has extensive experience in selling application software as well as SaaS/managed service offerings. Paul brings pertinent industry experience to Billtrust with executive/sales positions he held at SunGard and BlueGill Technologies. He holds a BS in Accounting from DePaul University and passed the CPA exam in the State of Illinois.
