The Challenge

A division of CRH, a leading global diversified building materials group, Oldcastle APG is one of North America’s largest building products and materials manufacturers. Oldcastle APG provides a full array of building materials, such as pavers, patio slabs, stone veneer, retaining walls, architectural block, composite decking, dry mix concrete and more, from a network of over 180 facilities.

Due to Oldcastle APG’s size and scope, they were dealing with unique billing challenges, particularly since many of their operating companies originally used separate billing procedures and systems. After experiencing unsatisfactory results from an enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform, Oldcastle APG performed extensive research to find a solution to their billing obstacles.

The Solution

Billtrust was given an assortment of complex billing files showcasing Oldcastle APG’s complicated mix of operating companies, logos, billing addresses and customer requirements. The redesigned files were returned in just two days and Oldcastle APG found themselves impressed with the accuracy, accessibility and professional quality.

The Results

Once Billtrust’s suite of automated accounts receivable (AR) services was fully implemented, Oldcastle APG found that they greatly improved the efficiency and integration of their print, email and online billing processes.

Their electronic adoption rates skyrocketed from under 10% to more than 50%, and continues to grow. Their Credit team also uses Billtrust to track the delivery of their billing documents and payment activity. Oldcastle APG estimates that the company has saved 25% on postage fees.
