Open Scan, a Division of Billtrust, Announces Beta Release of Mobile Payment Capture

DENVER, CO – (April 22, 2014) – Open Scan, the leader in enterprise cash flow processing automation, announced today Mobile Payment Capture for its receivables automation platform. The solution is compatible with Open Scan’s SaaS-based “Dynamic Receivables” and hosted “Corporate A/R” products and enables smartphone users to capture an image of a check and its remittance in the field, deposit it remotely, and route it to accounts receivable for processing.

Earlier this year, Open Scan announced its partnership with Top Image Systems (TIS) to embed its MobiFLOW technologies into this solution. Top Image Systems (TIS) will provide a Mobile Remittance solution based on these existing technologies which, together with Open Scan’s Dynamic Receivables software, will form Mobile Payment Capture.

The offering is ideal for distributors who collect payments at point of delivery, smaller field offices that lack the volume to support a scanner-based remote deposit capture (RDC) service, and remote locations that want to avoid the footprint of a check and page scanner solution. Mobile Payment Capture allows Open Scan’s large US install base in the transportation, distribution, and manufacturing industries, to process payments in the field at the time of delivery to significantly reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), improve cash flow, and prevent credit holds.
