Open Scan, a Division of Billtrust, Releases Remote Mail Scan 4.0

DENVER, CO – (April 9, 2014) – Open Scan, the leader in enterprise cash flow processing automation, announced today version 4.0 of Remote Mail Scan.

Remote Mail Scan improves management of B2B payments processed in-house, including those received at field offices. By pairing a check scanner with a page scanner, Remote Mail Scan captures both checks and remittances and automatically matches them against the payee’s open accounts receivable. Payments are reviewed for compliance with federal deposit standards and then transmitted to financial institutions via Image Cash Letter (ICL). Remote Mail Scan benefits companies by eliminating data entry and other manual processes, accelerating payment velocity, and reducing the per deposit fees associated with most bank-provided remote deposit capture offerings.

The 4.0 release of Remote Mail Scan includes Open Scan Adaptive Image Filtering, which enhances scanned images to improve data accuracy. The release also includes improvements to virtual endorsement, enabling clearer reading of electronically endorsed checks.
